Basel (1590, ?), 1595 dort M.A.; dann Medizinstudium in Montpellier (1595, ?), Praxis in Uzès (1597, 1598); 1599 Reisen durch Europa, Dr. med.Basel (1600); 1602 Heirat mit Chrischona Jeckelmann; Prof. med. für Anatomie und Botanik Basel (1614, ?), seit 1625 Prof. med. practicus und Stadtarzt Basel (1625, ?) als Nachfolger von Caspar Bauhin.
